Internet tsunami

Our resort, Les 3 Elephants, is born after five years of work in our South Indian paradise bubble. It’s completed and fully functional, the moment has come to make our entry into the world. So, from were I stand, the obvious door to access the global forum is the internet.

WordPress and Facebook, but also Pinterest, Tripadvisor, Linkedin, reddit, stumbleupon… Etc…

To be honest, i’m trying to learn everything at the same time… I need to learn. Building our dream eco resort was only the first step, we can’t just sit, rest and contemplate the result. The adventure just begins, now we have to open the doors, open our arms, and work to share the dream. I am very new to this internet and social network communication, but, following our whole project’s philosophy, I have decided to skip the planning stage, and fearlessly jump into this tumultuous territory. Don’t wait, learn to swim in the stream…

Waves and waves of information, rushing into my brain from the super powerful web connected screen. It’s tiring, exhausting… But also exciting, gratifying, like a full glass of strong vodka after months of sobriety. Flow of eclectic, fun, new, beautiful, strange, complex, data and surprises from the ultra-contemporary global network, flooding the dry land of my quiet, cut from the world, tropical life.

And suddenly, in the middle of the storm, when I am just about to drown, this portrait appears on the screen… Time stops. The information cyclone twirls around, enhancing by contrast the infinite calm of this encounter.

I just love this picture from photographer Steve Mc Curry. No need to describe it, an esthetic shock can only be shared, words are mostly useless in this matter.

Internet is just a part of the world. Full of everything, like the world. The worst and the best, unspeakable horror and absolute beauty. So, thanks to this intense colored Indian man, i’ll continue swimming, optimistic, hoping for the best…

  1. How does one access yr resort? There is a site but it is in French (I think).

Or is a french music festival… I discovered it too late 😉 I know now that I should have checked before chosing the name of the resort, but as I have mentionned several times in this blog, we started all this without a clue about business… Learning on the way… Thanks for your interest, all the best. Benjamin

      • Thank you. This is a timely connection. Trying to plan for a summer break in India. Kids don’t want to go to the hills. That limits the choice to Goa and Kerala. Would you have a view on the suitability of staying at yr resort in June?

  2. Dear Ankur, our resort is open in June, I send you a mail with more details.
